We’re Looking for Event Volunteers For The Schools Triathlon
The Knight Frank Schools Triathlon Series, organised by the charity Restless Development, is a unique sports fundraising event, designed specifically for children aged 7 – 13. In 2024, we ran 10 events across April, May and June. This saw over 9,000 children from 200+ schools swimming, running and cycling to raise over £1.2 million for Restless Development and 67 other charities chosen by participating schools.
The Schools Triathlon event at Oundle School is for all school pupils in Years 3-8 on Sunday 18th May 2025. The children form teams of 4 (coming up with suitably amusing team names themselves!), with all team mates doing all 3 disciplines as a relay. Our events are an opportunity for children of all abilities to take on a new sporting challenge – whilst giving back to the wider community through their fundraising – creating a friendly and fun ethos to the series. Since starting in 2015, year on year we’ve had a fantastic response from schools, with both the pupils, parents and volunteers really enjoying the day.
Each event requires over 160 volunteers, who play a key role in ensuring the day runs smoothly. Volunteers assist with tasks such as cheering on participants, handing out medals, managing registration desks, and supporting transition areas. It’s a fantastic opportunity to be part of a high-energy, community-driven event that raises funds for both Restless Development and local charities chosen by the participating schools.
