Job Description:
Oundle School is seeking a Database & Information Systems Administrator to support the School and the IT Services team in delivering IT applications and infrastructure across different functional and technical areas.
The School is a 1:1 device School with well over 2000 users. The School is a Microsoft customer and uses Azure, Intune and Entra for its management platform. It is a large organisation with respect to its technological infrastructure, being located across 40 fibre connected buildings.
The Role
The role of Database and Information System Administrator plays an integral part in helping the School and the IT Services team deliver IT applications and infrastructure for the School across different functional and technical areas.
The role performs standard database maintenance and administration tasks. Uses database management system software and tools to collect performance statistics. The role designs and implements data pipelines and data stores to acquire and prepare data. Applies data engineering standards and tools to create and maintain data pipelines and extract, transform and load data. Carries out routine data quality checks and remediation. Interprets business requirements for the design and implementation of reports.
Due to the operational demands of this role, the successful candidate will be required to be located on site to ensure timely support and efficient IT service delivery across the School.
Hours of work: Monday – Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm.
Salary: £38,000 -£44,000 (Dependent on experience)

The School
Oundle and Laxton Junior Schools have long been associated with the very best of modern independent education, especially boarding.
