Job Description:
Oundle School is seeking a DET Workshop & Art Studio Keeper to help maintain the upkeep and tidiness of the practical areas of the school such as our state-of-the-art Patrick Engineering Centre, Cloisters area and offices.
the Role
The purpose of the role is to clean areas of the Patrick Engineering Centre and Cloisters buildings inc: offices, design studios, machines and stores in accordance with the Service Level Agreement between the Domestic Services Department, the Director of The Patrick Engineering Centre and the Head of Art. In addition to cleaning, the post holder will be expected to assist with the general upkeep and tidiness of the practical areas of the workshops.
This role involves a considerable amount of physical effort in that there are frequent periods of standing, walking, medium lifting of equipment, stretching and occasional heavy lifting. This role involves the carrying and use of equipment on regular basis use as well as some requirement to climb small ladders to clean windows, ledges and higher level surfaces.
This role will be full time 40 hours per week, based on 36.4 week contract (paid for 40.79).
Hours of work: 08:30am – 17:00pm Monday to Friday with a 30 minute lunch from 12:15pm -12:45pm.
Salary £18,910 pro rata, FTE £24,107.
